Subir is a founder of General Cognitics, an Alternative Investment Management Firm, where he is responsible for Algorithm Design and Trading Strategies development and also manages the company’s strategy on a day-to-day basis. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, where he teaches graduate level courses on Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning. He holds more than 50 US Patents, and has authored books on Deep Learning and Internet Congestion Control. Subir has over twenty five years of experience in the technology industry, during which he has held leadership positions for large companies as well as several Silicon Valley based Start-Ups. He was the co-founder and CTO/VP of Engineering at Aperto Networks, a pioneer in the Broadband Wireless space, where he was the Chief Designer of its Packetwave line of products. Subir holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
